The strength requirements of thin GRC decorative panels must meet three core indicators: "flexural strength ≥12MPa, impact resistance ≥7kJ/m², elastic modulus ≥15GPa", ensuring sufficient load-bearing capacity while remaining lightweight. In the 8mm ultra-thin panel project for the Yirui Biotechnology Building in Shenzhen, Qinglong Group adopted measures such as optimized fiber distribution (3% steel fiber by volume), maximum-density mix ratio (water-cement ratio 0.32), and enhanced steam curing, achieving a panel weight of ≤40kg/m² per unit area while reaching a flexural strength of 15MPa, breaking through the strength bottleneck of traditional thin panels. Thin GRC not only reduces structural loads by more than 30% but also broadens architectural design possibilities, making it particularly suitable for weight-sensitive scenarios such as curtain wall renovation and interior decoration.
For thin panels with a thickness ≤10mm, the flexural strength must be ≥12MPa to resist wind loads and installation stresses. Through finite element analysis, Qinglong Group optimized fiber orientation, increasing the load-bearing capacity of thin panels by 20%. In the Nanning New Media Center project, 6mm thick translucent panels were successfully applied to ceilings, with 5 years of safe use without deformation.
Adding high elastic modulus fibers (such as PBO fiber) raises the impact toughness to 10kJ/m². Surface treatment adds a wear-resistant layer with a Mohs hardness ≥5. Qinglong Group's thin panels passed the 1m drop ball test without cracking.
Distributed connection points are adopted with a spacing ≤600mm, along with edge reinforcement. Scientific design makes thin panels both light and strong, expanding the boundaries of application.
