How to Safely Clean Surface Stains on GRC Decorative Panels? Qinglong Group's Maintenance Technology and Chemically Neutral Cleaning Solutions

The safe removal of stains from GRC decorative panel surfaces requires differentiated solutions based on stain type, panel surface treatment, and service environment, with the core principles of "chemical neutrality, physical gentleness, and timely treatment". Based on 28 years of project maintenance experience, Qinglong Group has established a four-step cleaning method of "diagnosis - agent selection - application - protection": neutral cleaners with a pH of 6-8 for dust-type stains; emulsifying cleaning agents for oil stains (action time ≤10 minutes); diluted oxalic acid solution for rust stains (concentration ≤3%); and quaternary ammonium bactericides for biological contamination. For GRC panels in service for 10 years at the coastal project of the Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center, our cleaning solution achieved a surface contamination removal rate of ≥98% with zero damage to the protective layer, extending the panels' service life.

Stain Type Determines Cleaning Strategy

Acidic stains (such as bird droppings) require neutralization with alkaline cleaners, while alkaline stains (such as cement slurry) should be treated with acidic agents, but the pH must be controlled between 5 and 9. Qinglong Group is equipped with a laboratory for stain composition analysis to develop customized cleaning solutions. In the Nanning Wuxiang China Resources Mixc project, we determined the optimal cleaning parameters through preliminary tests to avoid panel surface corrosion.

Cleaning Process Ensures Safety and Effectiveness

Test on a small area first and proceed only after confirming no adverse reactions; cleaning pressure ≤3MPa and water temperature 20-40°C; stubborn stains are treated with a poultice method, with the duration controlled at 5-15 minutes. Protective Treatment Prevents Recontamination
