Installation tolerance control of UHPC exterior wall panels is a key indicator of construction technical proficiency and a decisive factor in the final visual quality and sealing performance of a curtain wall. Based on 28 years of engineering practice and industry standards (such as JGJ/T423-2018), Qinglong Group defines the allowable installation tolerances for high-quality UHPC curtain walls as: panel surface flatness deviation ≤3mm/2m, height difference between adjacent panel surfaces ≤2mm, joint width error ≤±1.5mm, and overall facade verticality deviation ≤H/1000 and ≤15mm (H is the wall height). This level of precision must be achieved through systematic control of "surveying first, precise molds, adjustable hangers, and in-process inspection."
Surveying and setting-out are the source of precision. A high-precision total station (such as the Leica TS60) is used for three-dimensional spatial positioning, with control point errors required to be ≤±2mm. In the wavy roof project of the Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center, Qinglong Group kept the spatial coordinate errors of tens of thousands of double-curved panels within ±3mm by establishing a surveying control network. The substrate must be pretreated in advance to ensure its flatness meets requirements, providing a datum for hanger installation. Mold precision is the fundamental safeguard: the profile error of working molds should be ≤±0.5mm, controlling component dimensional deviations at the source.
An adjustable connection system is the core of on-site correction. Qinglong Group uses three-dimensionally adjustable hangers (with adjustment ranges of ≥±5mm in the horizontal, vertical, and in-out directions), combined with a laser level for real-time installation guidance. Once each panel is in place, initial adjustment and rechecking are performed immediately to ensure errors do not accumulate. Joint treatment requires dedicated spacer blocks to control joint width, with sealant applied at a uniform thickness. To accommodate thermal deformation, appropriate expansion allowance must also be reserved in the panel joint design.
The value of tolerance control goes beyond aesthetics—it concerns long-term service safety. Excessive installation errors cause the sealant to be over-stretched or over-compressed, accelerating aging and failure and leading to leakage. Through standardized installation procedures and full-process digital monitoring, Qinglong Group ensures that every project meets or even exceeds specification requirements, providing reliable protection for buildings.
