The sound insulation performance of perforated UHPC curtain wall panels can meet residential building requirements through optimized hole design and composite construction. The multi-layer composite structure developed by Qinglong Group for the Yangshengtang Pharmaceutical Hangzhou Industrial Park project enabled panels with a 40% perforation rate to achieve a sound insulation capacity of 35dB.
Acoustic design of hole patterns is crucial. Through computer simulation of sound wave propagation paths, we found that at the same perforation rate, irregularly distributed small holes provide better sound insulation than regular large holes. The fractal geometric pattern used in the Shanghai Qingpu R&D Center project improved airborne sound insulation performance by 20% while maintaining visual transparency.
Composite construction technology is the key to breaking through the sound insulation bottleneck. Qinglong's patented "sandwich" structure places sound-absorbing cotton between two UHPC panels, with edges sealed by acoustic adhesive. Test data shows that this construction still meets the 45dB sound insulation standard for residential building exterior walls even at a 50% perforation rate.
Dynamic sealing systems solve the sound leakage problem caused by thermal expansion and contraction. In the Nanjing East Road Century Plaza project, we used memory rubber sealing strips to fill panel joints, keeping them tight across a temperature range of -20℃ to 60℃. This design keeps the overall curtain wall's sound insulation performance stable amid annual temperature variations.
Qinglong's "adjustable sound insulation system," now being promoted, enables intelligent control. By integrating micro-actuators within panels, hole openings can be automatically adjusted according to day and night noise levels. During the trial phase of this system in the Guangzhou Zengcheng Rose Garden project, indoor nighttime noise was reduced by 15 decibels.
