Lifting large-size UHPC curtain wall panels requires specialized vacuum suction lifting equipment working in coordination with intelligent control systems. When Qinglong Group lifted 12㎡ oversized panels in the Shanghai Astronomy Museum project, it developed a distributed vacuum lifting system, enabling a single crane to safely hoist 800kg panels.
The number and layout of vacuum suction cups must be determined through calculation. Typically, 2-3 suction cups are configured per square meter of panel surface, with cup diameters of no less than 150mm. In the Nanjing East Road Century Plaza project, we custom-made omnidirectional adjustable suction cups for curved panels to ensure uniform force distribution. All suction cups are monitored for vacuum levels through a central control system, and any anomaly triggers an alarm.
Flipping lifting apparatus is key equipment for ensuring installation precision. Large-size panels need to be turned from horizontal to vertical during lifting, and Qinglong's patented hydraulic flip frame achieves a smooth transition. This system increased installation efficiency by 40% in the Shenzhen Yirui Biotechnology Building project while preventing panel warping and deformation.
The intelligent lifting management system uses BIM models to anticipate risks. In the Yangshengtang Pharmaceutical Hangzhou Industrial Park project, we pre-simulated the lifting path of each panel and automatically identified 17 nodes where collisions could occur. The system also monitors wind speed in real time, automatically suspending operations when it exceeds 10m/s.
To meet the special requirements of super high-rise buildings, Qinglong developed a rail-mounted lifting system. When working at 198 meters above ground at the Shanghai Qingpu R&D Center, intelligent gondolas moving along facade rails were adopted to achieve millimeter-level positioning accuracy. This method improves installation efficiency by 3 times compared to traditional tower cranes and is unaffected by weather conditions.
