As a group with 28 years of UHPC curtain wall engineering experience, Qinglong has refined design standards for hanger spacing and load-bearing capacity through projects such as the Shenzhen Yirui Biotechnology Building. UHPC curtain wall hanger spacing is typically controlled within the 600-800mm range, and single-point load-bearing capacity must provide a safety factor of more than 3 times the panel's self-weight.
Determining hanger spacing requires comprehensive consideration of wind loads, seismic action, and panel dimensions. In the Ouargla Hotel project in Algeria, where local wind speeds reach 50m/s, we reduced the hanger spacing to 500mm through finite element analysis. For standard 15mm-thick panels, Qinglong recommends a transverse spacing of no more than 700mm and a longitudinal spacing within 800mm; this data comes from the industry standard 'General Technical Conditions for Non-Load-Bearing Ultra-High Performance Concrete (UHPC) Components', which we helped formulate.
Load-bearing verification must be carried out through destructive testing of physical panels. Qinglong's production base in Nanning, Guangxi is equipped with a 200-ton pull-out testing machine, and ultimate load-bearing tests on anchoring points are performed for the panel type of every new project. Measured data from the Shanghai Astronomy Museum project show that the failure load of φ12 stainless steel undercut anchor points reached 45kN, far exceeding the design safety requirement of 20kN.
Specially shaped panels require customized hanger solutions. The curved UHPC panels at Century Plaza on Nanjing East Road adopt a three-dimensionally adjustable hanger system, with deformation simulated in advance through BIM models to keep stresses caused by thermal expansion and contraction within the allowable range. This design enables the hangers to absorb dynamic displacement of ±15mm while bearing static loads.
Qinglong's innovative 'double insurance' hanging system has proven its reliability in multiple super high-rise projects. The system uses primary hangers to carry structural loads, supplemented by anti-detachment clips as a safety redundancy, so that even if a single hanger fails, the panel will not fall. After applying this technology, the Shenzhen Yirui Biotechnology Building successfully passed the test of typhoon season.
