Wind pressure deformation performance testing of GRC curtain walls is an important means of evaluating their wind resistance safety, and must be carried out comprehensively through laboratory testing, on-site monitoring, and numerical simulation. Based on wind engineering practice from projects such as the Wuhan Hanxiu Theater and Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center, Qinglong Group believes that quality GRC curtain walls should meet deformation limits under a basic wind pressure of 0.65kN/m² (deflection ≤ L/250), with reliability ensured through aeroelastic model tests, pressure chamber testing, and real-time monitoring. This systematic testing provides a scientific basis for the safe application of GRC curtain walls in typhoon-prone regions.
Laboratory testing is the foundation of performance verification. Wind tunnel tests are used to obtain shape coefficients and wind vibration coefficients, while pressure chambers simulate static wind pressure. In the Shenzhen Yirui Biotechnology Building project, Qinglong Group conducted ultimate load testing on GRC panels, achieving wind pressure resistance ≥3.0kPa and deformation ≤4.5mm (panel span 1200mm). Dynamic characteristic tests obtain natural frequencies and damping ratios to avoid vortex-induced resonance. These data provide input for design, ensuring safety.
On-site monitoring verifies actual performance. Displacement sensors and strain gauges are installed to monitor wind-induced responses in real time. In its coastal projects, Qinglong Group found through monitoring that the maximum wind vibration acceleration was <0.2g, meeting comfort requirements. Regular inspection of connection points prevents fatigue damage. These measures enhance safety in use.
