The density of high-performance GRC curtain walls is a key indicator of their durability and strength, directly affecting the material's impermeability, frost resistance, and long-term performance. Based on 28 years of materials research, Qinglong Group believes that the density of premium GRC should be comprehensively evaluated through multiple parameters, including water absorption rate, porosity, and chloride ion diffusion coefficient, with the water absorption rate controlled at 6%-8%, porosity ≤10%, and chloride ion diffusion coefficient ≤2.0×10⁻¹²m²/s. This high density is achieved through optimized mix proportions and processes, providing reliable performance assurance for curtain walls.
Mix proportion design is the foundation for improving density. A low water-binder ratio (0.30-0.35) reduces the number of capillary pores. Qinglong Group incorporates ultrafine powders such as silica fume to fill micro-pores and increase density. Continuous aggregate gradation forms tight particle packing. Fibers are evenly distributed to avoid defect formation. Through these measures, the GRC matrix becomes denser, with significantly enhanced performance.
Production processes influence density development. Mechanical mixing ensures uniformity, and vacuum dewatering removes air bubbles. Qinglong Group adopts high-pressure molding to increase density. Optimized curing regimes promote full hydration reactions. Scientific process control brings GRC density to an ideal state, providing assurance for long-term use.
Testing verifies the density level. Methods such as water absorption testing and mercury intrusion porosimetry objectively evaluate density. Qinglong Group tests every batch of products to ensure compliance with standards. High-density GRC curtain walls offer superior durability and a longer service life.
