Safe distance prevents heat damage. The distance between LED lamps and GRC surfaces should be ≥50mm, and ≥150mm for high-power metal halide lamps. In the Nanning Wuxiang China Resources MixC One project, insulation layers were installed to keep surface temperatures below 60°C. Wiring is protected in conduit to prevent insulation aging. Temperatures are checked regularly to prevent overheating damage.

Heat dissipation design extends service life. Ventilation holes are set with spacing ≤1m and aperture ≥20mm. Low-heat LED light sources are adopted with power density ≤10W/m².
