The anchorage depth design of GRC exterior wall components directly affects the safety and durability of the curtain wall system. Based on 28 years of engineering experience, Qinglong Group holds that the anchorage depth must be calculated comprehensively according to wind load, dead weight, seismic action, and material performance, typically 2/3 of the panel thickness and no less than 50mm.
Load calculation is the basis for determining the anchorage depth. Wind pressure coefficients are obtained through wind tunnel tests, and wind loads are calculated in combination with the local basic wind pressure. In its Hainan project, Qinglong Group designed an anchorage depth of 60mm for the once-in-a-century wind pressure (0.85kPa), with a safety factor of 2.0. Seismic action is calculated in accordance with seismic codes to ensure the anchorage system does not fail under rare major earthquakes.
The arrangement of anchorage points influences depth design. Typically, 4-6 anchorage points are set per square meter, with additional densification at critical areas. The distance from anchorage points to panel edges should be no less than 100mm to avoid edge failure. Qinglong Group optimizes the anchorage point layout through finite element analysis, controlling the stress concentration factor within 1.5.
Material performance determines the anchorage effect. The pull-out resistance of anchors should be no less than 10kN, and the strength of the anchorage substrate must meet requirements. Qinglong Group uses post-installed undercut anchors, achieving a pull-out resistance of over 15kN in GRC. Regular inspection of the anchorage system ensures long-term safety.
