The thermal expansion coefficient of GRC material (8-10×10⁻⁶/℃) directly affects the thermal deformation and stress distribution of curtain wall systems. Qinglong Group effectively controls the impact of thermal deformation through precise calculation and structural design, ensuring curtain wall safety.
Thermal deformation must be calculated precisely. Taking a 20m-long panel as an example, the deformation reaches 6-8mm with a temperature difference of 40℃. In its Shenzhen project, Qinglong Group determined the panel joint width through finite element analysis, ensuring no crushing failure occurs under extreme temperatures. Expansion joints were also installed at intervals of no more than 15m to effectively release thermal stress.
Connection joint design takes thermal deformation into account. A three-dimensionally adjustable connection system is adopted, allowing panels to produce slight displacements as temperatures change. The sliding support system developed by Qinglong Group provides ±5mm of displacement, effectively absorbing thermal deformation. In the Wuhan Han Show Theatre project, this design ensured the safety of complex-shaped panels in an environment with an annual temperature difference of 50℃.
Seasonal construction requires special attention. During summer installation, a shrinkage allowance is reserved; during winter installation, expansion space is reserved. Qinglong Group uses BIM models to simulate installation conditions in different seasons and optimize installation plans. This refined temperature control keeps GRC curtain walls stable under various climatic conditions.
