GRC component stacking management is an important part of ensuring product quality; improper stacking may cause component deformation, cracking, or damage. Based on 28 years of warehousing management experience, Qinglong Group has summarized four major principles that GRC component stacking must follow—stability, deformation prevention, contamination prevention, and traceability—to ensure quality throughout the entire process from production to installation.
Stability is the primary principle of stacking. The stacking site must be flat and solid, with a bearing capacity of no less than 10kPa, to avoid uneven settlement. At its Nanning production base, Qinglong Group uses hardened concrete ground with flatness deviation controlled within ±5mm/2m. Stacking height is determined by component strength: before components reach 70% of design strength, stacking must not exceed 3 layers; after the required strength is reached, flat panels must not exceed 6 layers and special-shaped components must not exceed 4 layers. In the Shenzhen Yirui Biotechnology Building project, we customized dedicated stacking racks with dunnage of uniform thickness between layers (50mm×50mm) and vertical alignment deviation of less than 10mm to ensure even load transfer.
Deformation prevention is a key requirement of stacking. Large panels are stacked vertically at an inclination angle of 75°-80° and secured with dedicated brackets. For stacking the wavy roof panels at the Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center, Qinglong Group fabricated profile-matching brackets to ensure panels bear load evenly. Components are stacked by shape: flat panels are stacked in overlapping fashion, curved panels are stacked vertically, and openwork panels are laid flat in a single layer. Dunnage spacing is determined by panel dimensions, generally no more than 1/4 of the panel length, and 200-300mm from the panel ends. Monitoring data show that scientific stacking keeps component deformation within L/500.
Contamination prevention protects component surface quality. Stacking sites should be equipped with rain shelters to avoid sun and rain exposure. Qinglong Group requires components to be kept at least 100mm above the ground, with soft spacers (rubber or plastic) between layers to avoid knocks from hard objects. In the Wuhan Hanxiu Theater project, carved panel surfaces were covered with protective film to prevent scratching. The chemical storage area is kept more than 10m away from the stacking area to avoid contamination. Stacking conditions should be inspected regularly, with timely adjustments made when abnormalities are found.
Traceability enables refined management. Information boards are set up in each stacking area, indicating component numbers, production dates, strength grades, and more. Qinglong Group uses a QR code management system that provides full component information with a single scan. In large projects, components are stacked by zone according to installation sequence to improve retrieval efficiency. Through scientific stacking management, the intact rate of GRC components can reach over 99.5%.
