The UHPC production process is a key link in achieving its high performance. The entire process involves precise mix ratio control, advanced forming technology, and strict curing regimes. Based on 28 years of production experience, Qinglong Group believes that the UHPC production process indeed involves considerable technical complexity, which is mainly reflected in four dimensions: raw material handling, mixing technology, forming technology, and curing control.
Raw material pretreatment is the foundation of the process. Cementitious materials must be sieved through an 80μm square-hole sieve with a residue of no more than 5%; aggregates must be washed and undergo gradation optimization; fibers must be ensured to be free of clumping. Qinglong Group's Nanning production base uses an automated batching system with a weighing accuracy of ±0.5%, far exceeding the industry standard of ±1%. This refined raw material handling lays a solid foundation for subsequent processes.
The mixing process directly affects material uniformity. We use a forced-action mixer with staged feeding: first, dry-mix the cementitious materials and aggregates for 30 seconds, then add water containing water reducer and mix for 90 seconds, and finally add fibers and mix for 60 seconds. In the Shenzhen Pingshan High-tech Zone project, this staged mixing process achieved a fiber distribution uniformity of over 95%, ensuring consistency in material performance.
Forming technology determines product precision. Qinglong Group adopts a robotic spraying forming process, using a six-axis robotic arm to precisely control the spray path and pressure. For complex components, press forming or extrusion forming is also employed. In the Shanghai Century Plaza translucent UHPC project, robotic spraying ensured the precise implantation of 8,000 light-guiding rods per square meter, demonstrating the high precision requirements of the process.
The curing regime is key to performance assurance. We have established an intelligent curing system: 1 hour of resting, 2 hours of heating to 60°C, 24 hours at constant temperature, and 2 hours of cooling. In the Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center project, this precise curing enabled UHPC's 3-day strength to reach over 80% of its 28-day strength. The complexity of the production process is precisely what guarantees UHPC's high performance, requiring professional technical accumulation and equipment investment.
