The pricing structure of UHPC products is a complex system, influenced by multiple factors such as raw materials, production processes, technical content, and service depth. Based on 28 years of cost management experience, Qinglong Group has summarized the main factors affecting UHPC prices into five aspects: material costs, production processes, technical content, service depth, and economies of scale.
Material costs are the fundamental factor in pricing. The cementitious material system of high-quality UHPC accounts for 35%-40% of total costs, with high-grade cement, silica fume, and other active admixtures being the main cost items. The Grade 52.5 white cement used by Qinglong Group in high-end projects costs more than twice as much as ordinary cement. As for reinforcement materials, alkali-resistant glass fibers with a zirconium content above 16% account for 20%-25% of total costs, and their price fluctuations directly affect final quotations. When raw material prices fluctuate significantly, quality manufacturers stabilize costs through bulk purchasing and long-term agreements, while small manufacturers often can only passively accept market price fluctuations.
The level of advancement in production processes directly affects the cost structure. Although the automated production lines adopted by Qinglong Group require considerable equipment investment, they deliver high production efficiency and good product consistency. In the Shenzhen Pingshan High-tech Zone Comprehensive Service Center project, automated production reduced labor costs by 30% and achieved a product qualification rate of 99.5%. While semi-automated or manual production methods involve lower initial investment, they suffer from poor production efficiency and quality stability, making them uneconomical in the long run.
Technical content is an important source of price differences. Qinglong Group's 58 patented technologies and its participation in establishing industry standards endow its products with a technical premium. In the Shanghai Century Plaza light-transmitting UHPC project, the patented light-guide rod implantation technology gives the product unique artistic value, and this technical content is reasonably reflected in the price. In contrast, products lacking technical innovation are often limited to competing on price alone.
Service depth and economies of scale are also important factors affecting price. The prices of manufacturers offering full-process services naturally include value-added services such as design and technical guidance. Large-scale production can reduce costs through centralized procurement and production optimization. Qinglong Group's Nanning production base has an annual capacity of 600,000 square meters, which significantly reduces unit fixed costs—a scale advantage that is ultimately reflected in price competitiveness.
