The GRC production process is the key factor determining product quality. Through 28 years of technical accumulation, Qinglong Group has developed a fully standardized production process covering every step from mold making to curing and factory dispatch. The process mainly consists of four core stages: mold engineering, batching and mixing, forming, and curing and demolding, each subject to strict quality control requirements.
Mold making is the first process in GRC production, directly determining the dimensional accuracy and surface finish of components. Qinglong uses CNC machining centers to make master molds, ensuring profile accuracy within ±0.5mm. Production molds are available in various options such as GRP molds and silicone molds, selected appropriately according to component complexity. In the translucent UHPC project at Shanghai Century Plaza, our specially developed polyurethane molds achieved precise replication of simulated tree bark textures. The choice of mold release agent is also critical, ensuring component surface quality while facilitating demolding.
The batching and mixing stage requires precise measurement and thorough blending. Qinglong's automated mixing plant keeps raw material weighing errors within ±1%. The mixing process follows a dry-mix-first, wet-mix-second sequence to ensure uniform fiber dispersion. In the Yirui Biotechnology Building project in Shenzhen, we raised fiber dispersion uniformity to over 95% by optimizing the mixing process. Mixing time must be strictly controlled: too long causes fiber damage, while too short compromises the blending effect.
There are two main forming methods: the spray-up method and the premix method. The spray-up method is suitable for components with complex shapes, spraying fibers and mortar into the mold simultaneously through dedicated spraying equipment. In the Algeria hotel perforated panel project, Qinglong adopted robotic spray-up forming to guarantee the forming quality of components with a 50% perforation rate. The premix method is suitable for regularly shaped components and offers higher production efficiency. Whichever method is used, thorough compaction is required to remove air bubbles and increase density.
The curing process directly affects the strength development of GRC. Qinglong adopts a steam curing regime, strictly controlling heating and cooling rates and the constant-temperature duration. Components after demolding also undergo moist curing to ensure the hydration reaction proceeds fully. By optimizing the curing process, the 28-day strength of GRC can be improved by more than 20%. Fine control at every stage ensures the stability and consistency of Qinglong GRC product performance.
