The durability of UHPC (Ultra-High Performance Concrete) is one of its core advantages that distinguishes it from traditional building materials, directly affecting the whole-life cost of buildings. Based on long-term tracking data from multiple major projects, Qinglong Group systematically describes the outstanding performance of UHPC manufacturer products in terms of impermeability, chemical corrosion resistance, freeze-thaw resistance, and abrasion resistance, providing customers with a scientific durability assessment framework.
The dense structure of UHPC gives it excellent impermeability. Through optimized particle grading and the use of high-efficiency water reducers, the porosity of premium UHPC can be reduced to below 2%, with a chloride ion diffusion coefficient as low as the 1.0×10⁻¹²m²/s level. This property makes it particularly suitable for coastal areas or environments exposed to de-icing salts. The UHPC components applied by Qinglong Group in the roofing project of the Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center have withstood years of erosion from high-salinity sea winds without any sign of rebar corrosion, demonstrating their long-term protective capability.
Chemical corrosion resistance is another outstanding feature of UHPC durability. Its high alkalinity (pH>12.5) and low permeability enable it to effectively resist the attack of acid salts, sulfates, and other corrosive media. In the Yangshengtang Pharmaceutical Hangzhou Industrial Park project, Qinglong UHPC panels were used for the exterior walls of pharmaceutical buildings, showing excellent stability when facing potential chemical splashes. By incorporating admixtures such as slag and silica fume, manufacturers can further optimize corrosion resistance to meet the demands of special industrial environments.
Freeze-thaw cycle resistance is a key indicator for material selection in cold regions. After 300 freeze-thaw cycles, the relative dynamic elastic modulus retention of premium UHPC can exceed 95%, with mass loss below 0.5%. Application practice in Qinglong Group's projects in northern regions shows that its UHPC products are capable of long-term use in environments as cold as -30°C. This performance derives from the material's low water-binder ratio and micro air-void system, which effectively buffer the expansion stress generated when water freezes.
Abrasion resistance makes UHPC stand out in wear environments such as floors and bridge decks. Its wear resistance can reach 0.15g/cm² (ball bearing method), surpassing natural stone. Monitoring data from Qinglong Group's municipal flooring projects show that the annual wear thickness of UHPC paving layers is only 0.01-0.02mm, far lower than ordinary concrete. In addition, UHPC's carbonation resistance is equally outstanding, with a predicted 50-year carbonation depth of less than 1mm, providing lasting protection for internal rebar.
In summary, the durability of premium UHPC manufacturer products is the result of multi-dimensional synergy. Through systematic optimization of material design, production processes, and quality control, Qinglong Group ensures that UHPC components maintain long-term performance stability in various harsh environments, significantly reducing the whole-life maintenance cost of buildings.
