Research on GRC Durability — Qinglong GRC Long-Term Performance Assurance System

The durability of GRC is mainly reflected in four aspects: freeze-thaw resistance, carbonation resistance, weather resistance, and impermeability. High-quality GRC products should achieve: freeze-thaw resistance grade ≥F100, with mass loss after 25 freeze-thaw cycles ≤5%; annual carbonation depth growth ≤0.1mm; UV exposure resistance of ≥2000 hours without chalking; impermeability grade ≥P6. Qinglong GRC achieves a service life of over 50 years through technical innovations such as low-alkali cement (alkali content ≤0.6%), alkali-resistant glass fiber (ZrO₂ content ≥16.5%), and dense mix proportions.

Accelerated aging tests show that after 300 freeze-thaw cycles, Qinglong GRC retains ≥85% of its relative dynamic elastic modulus; carbonation depth at 28 days ≤1.0mm; and no surface change after 5000 hours of UV aging. A 20-year follow-up inspection of an actual project showed that Qinglong GRC components retained 90% of their strength with intact appearance, demonstrating excellent durability.

Freeze-Thaw Resistance

An air content of 4%-6% effectively resists freeze-thaw damage; fiber reinforcement improves frost resistance; a dense structure reduces water absorption; premium products can reach F150 and above. Frost resistance supports applications in cold regions.

Carbonation Resistance

A low water-cement ratio (≤0.35) delays carbonation; protective layer thickness ≥10mm; admixtures optimize pore structure; annual carbonation depth ≤0.1mm. Carbonation resistance ensures long-term performance.

Weather Resistance Performance

UV resistant with color difference ΔE≤3.0; resistant to temperature changes with no cracking in -40℃~80℃ cycles; resistant to heat and humidity, stable in 95% humidity environments; stain resistant with good surface self-cleaning. Weather resistance adapts to outdoor environments.

Impermeability Performance Indicators

Water absorption ≤10% with high density; low chloride ion diffusion coefficient; impermeability grade P6-P8; moderate breathability. Impermeability extends service life.
