Verifying the carbonation resistance of GRC requires a comprehensive evaluation through three methods: laboratory accelerated testing, on-site sampling inspection, and long-term tracking observation. Qinglong GRC recommends: first, require the manufacturer to provide an accelerated carbonation test report conducted in accordance with GB/T 50082 "Test Methods for Carbonation Resistance of Cement" (28-day carbonation depth ≤1mm); second, conduct on-site sampling inspection on projects completed 3-5 years ago; finally, establish long-term performance archives for tracking observation.
During verification, focus on the following indicators: the 28-day carbonation depth in the accelerated carbonation test should be ≤1mm (corresponding to a 50-year carbonation depth of ≤5mm in natural environments); the annual increase in carbonation depth from on-site sampling inspection should be ≤0.1mm; and long-term tracking should show an annual strength decay rate of ≤0.5%. Testing of Qinglong GRC products showed an accelerated carbonation depth of 0.8mm at 28 days, and components in service for 10 years showed a carbonation depth of 1.2mm, fully meeting design requirements.
Accelerated carbonation test (20% CO₂ concentration): 28-day depth ≤1mm; coefficient of variation in carbonation depth ≤15%; these tests verify material performance.
Phenolphthalein reagent method for measuring carbonation depth; sampling locations are representative; test data are authentic and reliable; these methods reflect actual conditions.
Annual carbonation depth increase ≤0.1mm; annual strength decay rate ≤0.5%; these indicators evaluate long-term performance.
Carbonation resistance is positively correlated with impermeability; it is directly related to compactness; these correlations aid judgment.
Carbonation resistance requires scientific verification. Qinglong GRC welcomes customer-supervised testing—let the data speak.
