What Are the Raw Materials of GRC? In-Depth Analysis of the Qinglong GRC Material Science System

The performance of GRC products stems from their precise raw material system. The formulation of high-quality GRC includes four major categories of raw materials: cementitious materials, reinforcing fibers, aggregates, and chemical admixtures, each of which must meet strict technical specifications. Through 28 years of material research, Qinglong GRC has developed a scientific mix proportion system.

In terms of raw material control, Qinglong GRC enforces strict standards: low-alkali sulphoaluminate cement (alkali content ≤0.6%); zirconia-type alkali-resistant glass fiber (ZrO₂ content ≥16.5%); selected quartz sand (fineness modulus 1.8-2.2); polycarboxylate water reducer (water reduction rate ≥30%). This combination of premium raw materials ensures a flexural strength of ≥18MPa and excellent durability.

Cementitious Material System

Low-alkali sulphoaluminate cement is used; active admixtures such as silica fume and fly ash are added; specific surface area and setting time are strictly controlled. These ensure strength development.

Reinforcing Fiber Selection

Alkali-resistant glass fiber is used; zirconia content ≥16.5%; surfaces are treated with coupling agents. These improve the bond between fiber and matrix.

Aggregate Gradation Optimization

Selected quartz sand with maximum particle size ≤1.2mm; mud content ≤0.3%; gradation optimization achieves the densest packing. These improve compactness.

Chemical Admixture Application

Polycarboxylate water reducer with water reduction rate ≥30%; retarding components adjust setting time; defoamers control air content. These improve workability.
