Scientific cleaning of GRC product surfaces is an important part of maintaining their appearance. Different cleaning methods and agents are required depending on the type and degree of contamination. In a renovation project of a historic building in Beijing, the GRC facade had accumulated substantial grime from years of air pollution. The Qinglong technical team adopted a three-step cleaning method: first, pre-treatment with a neutral detergent (pH=7±0.5); then cleaning with low-pressure steam (pressure ≤3Bar); and finally gentle scrubbing with a soft-bristle brush. This mild cleaning approach effectively removed the accumulated grime while protecting the GRC surface, restoring the building's original appearance.

Routine Dust Cleaning

Remove dust with a soft-bristle brush or vacuum cleaner; rinse with clean water when necessary; water temperature should not exceed 35℃. This cleaning is carried out once per quarter.

Stubborn Stain Treatment

For stubborn stains such as grease and moss: use a dedicated biodegradable detergent; soaking time should not exceed 15 minutes; rinsing pressure ≤50Bar. Avoid using metal brushes.

Special Treatment for Contaminants

For rust stains, use oxalic acid solution (concentration ≤3%); for ink stains, use hydrogen peroxide (concentration ≤5%); rinse immediately with clean water after treatment. A small-area test is required before use.

Cleaning Precautions

Avoid strong acids and alkalis; keep water temperature from getting too high; avoid excessive pressure; carry out work on cloudy days. These measures protect the GRC surface.
