What Is the GRC Production Process? An In-Depth Analysis of Qinglong's GRC Manufacturing Technology

The GRC production process mainly consists of four key stages: batching, mixing, forming, and curing. Each stage has strict technical requirements, and the level of craftsmanship directly affects product quality.

In the Wuhan Han Show Theatre project, Qinglong's GRC production line demonstrated advanced process standards: the automatic batching system achieves a precision of 0.1%; the spray-up forming machine ensures three-dimensional uniform fiber distribution; the vacuum dewatering system improves density; and the intelligent curing kiln precisely controls temperature and humidity. This precision craftsmanship keeps the product strength dispersion coefficient within 5%, with appearance quality meeting an artistic standard.

Batching Process Control

An automatic batching system is adopted with a precision of ±0.5%. Dry material mixing time is ≥2 minutes. Fibers are added in stages to ensure uniform dispersion. Water usage is strictly controlled, with a water-cement ratio of 0.3-0.35.

Mixing Process Requirements

A forced-action mixer is used for 3-5 minutes. The feeding sequence is controlled to prevent fiber clumping. The discharge temperature does not exceed 35°C. Workability is tested to ensure construction requirements are met.

Forming Process Technology

Spray-up forming pressure is 0.4-0.6 MPa. Vacuum dewatering improves density. Robotic arm operation ensures uniformity. Thickness control precision is ±1 mm.

Curing Regime Optimization

Ambient temperature curing for 24 hours. Heating rate during curing ≤15°C/h. Constant temperature curing for 48 hours. Cooling rate ≤10°C/h. This regime ensures proper strength development.
