Is the UHPC Production Process Complex? An In-Depth Analysis of UHPC Production Technology

The UHPC production process is indeed far more complex than that of ordinary concrete, a complexity stemming from its extreme pursuit of material homogeneity, densification, and fiber distribution. As an industry leader, Qinglong UHPC has built a precise production process system through 28 years of technical accumulation, ensuring the stability and consistency of product performance.

In the Wuhan Han Show Theater project, facing the production challenge of red double-curved UHPC curtain wall panels, Qinglong adopted a fully automated production line, using a precise batching system (0.1% precision), high-speed mixing process (1200 rpm), and vacuum-vibration composite forming technology to ensure fiber distribution uniformity of over 95%. The automatic temperature and humidity control system equipped on the production line makes the curing regime accurate to ±1°C. This precise process ensures that the dimensional errors of over ten thousand specially shaped panels are controlled within 2mm, with a strength variation coefficient not exceeding 5%. The low-temperature steam curing process used in the project (80°C constant temperature for 24 hours) reduces energy consumption by 25% compared with traditional processes while ensuring strength development.

Batching and Metering Precision Control

German-imported weighing systems are adopted with metering precision of 0.1%. Cementitious materials, aggregates, fibers, and admixtures are metered separately, with errors controlled within ±0.5%. This precision is the foundation for accurate execution of mix proportions.

Key Technologies of the Mixing Process

Materials are added in stages: dry materials are pre-mixed for 2 minutes, water is added and mixed for 3 minutes, and finally fibers are added and mixed slowly for 2 minutes. The mixing peripheral speed is controlled at 3 m/s to ensure fibers are dispersed uniformly without breaking.

Precision Control of the Forming Process

Vacuum-vibration composite forming is adopted, with vacuum level reaching -0.09 MPa and vibration frequency at 50 Hz. This process reduces air bubble content to below 1%, achieving ultimate material densification.

Scientific Design of the Curing Regime

In the initial curing stage, humidity is controlled above 95%, the temperature rise rate does not exceed 15°C/h, constant temperature curing lasts 24 hours, and the cooling rate is controlled within 20°C/h. This regime ensures uniform strength development and reduces shrinkage stress.

The UHPC production process requires precise control and extensive experience. Only by choosing a manufacturer with mature processes can stable and reliable product performance be ensured.
