Do Durability Differences Vary Greatly Among UHPC Products from Different Manufacturers? A Comparative Study on UHPC Durability

There are indeed significant differences in durability among UHPC products from different manufacturers. According to accelerated aging tests and engineering practice data, high-quality UHPC can achieve a service life of over 100 years under normal use conditions.

In the Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center project, Qinglong UHPC roof panels have withstood 8 years of tropical marine climate, with a carbonation depth of only 0.2mm and a chloride ion diffusion coefficient below 1×10⁻¹²m²/s. Meanwhile, some manufacturers' products exposed to the same environment have already shown surface weathering. This difference mainly stems from variations in raw material quality, production processes, and quality control systems.

Carbonation Resistance Research

The dense structure of UHPC effectively blocks carbon dioxide penetration. Accelerated carbonation tests show a 50-year carbonation depth of less than 1mm.

Chloride Ion Penetration Resistance

Electric flux method tests show that the chloride ion diffusion coefficient is 1/100 that of ordinary concrete. It performs excellently in marine environments.

Freeze-Thaw Resistance Verification

After 300 freeze-thaw cycles, the mass loss rate is <0.5%. It performs stably when used in cold regions.

Durability differences in UHPC objectively exist; comprehensive evaluation through accelerated aging tests and engineering surveys is recommended.
