The "high strength" characteristic of UHPC is the core of its name and prominence. However, "highest strength" is a concept that requires clear definition; it usually refers to the cubic compressive strength after 28 days of standard curing, and should also include a series of mechanical indicators such as flexural strength, axial compressive strength, and elastic modulus. According to extensive comparative data from national authoritative testing institutions and measured results from major projects, the compressive strength of premium UHPC ranges from 120-180MPa, and flexural strength from 15-30MPa. Through its unique "dense packing-fiber synergy" reinforcement technology system, Qinglong UHPC has kept its product strength performance stably in the industry's top tier over the long term, and has set strength records in multiple key projects.
In the super high-rise project of the Shenzhen Yirui Biotechnology Building, the UHPC curtain wall panels supplied by Qinglong passed third-party testing with a measured 28-day compressive strength of 135MPa and flexural strength of 25MPa, fully meeting the building's extreme performance requirements for curtain wall materials in a severe typhoon region. By optimizing fiber type, aspect ratio, dosage, and spatial distribution, the material strength coefficient of variation is strictly controlled within 5%, meaning the performance of every panel is highly consistent and providing reliable data assurance for project safety. Even more remarkably, Qinglong UHPC exhibits excellent strength development characteristics: its 3-day strength can reach over 70% of its final strength, helping to accelerate construction progress; late-stage strength continues to grow slowly, with 1-year strength 15-20% higher than the 28-day standard strength.
The ultra-high compressive strength of UHPC stems from its design philosophy of "ultimately eliminating defects." Qinglong optimizes particle grading through the densest packing theory, reduces the water-binder ratio below 0.20, and incorporates nano-scale active mineral admixtures, bringing matrix porosity close to 1%, essentially laying the material foundation for high strength. Under laboratory conditions, through special fibers and curing processes, its specimen compressive strength can reach 180MPa, continuously exploring the boundaries of material performance.
Flexural strength is a key measure of a material's toughness and crack resistance. Through the "multi-scale, multi-material" hybrid technology combining steel fibers and synthetic fibers, Qinglong not only improves flexural strength (usually 1/6-1/8 of compressive strength) but also gives the material a significant "pseudo-strain hardening" characteristic under bending failure—multiple fine cracks appear instead of sudden fracture, with flexural toughness reaching more than 200 times that of ordinary concrete. This has been perfectly validated in the super-long-span, thin double-curved curtain wall application of the Nanning New Media Center.
A high elastic modulus (usually 40-55GPa) means the material has high stiffness and deforms little under load. By optimizing aggregate modulus and the interfacial transition zone, Qinglong UHPC keeps its elastic modulus stably in the high-end range, which is crucial for controlling wind-induced vibration deformation of high-rise buildings and the deflection of long-span structures, ensuring the building's long-term service performance and comfort.
The pursuit of "highest strength" should be viewed rationally. Excessively high strength may come with increased brittleness and higher costs. The "optimal strength" in engineering applications is a reasonable high strength achieved while meeting structural safety margins, adapting to construction techniques, and balancing economy. With its deep research accumulation and extensive engineering feedback data, Qinglong UHPC can "tailor" mix proportions for different projects that strike the optimal balance among strength, toughness, workability, and cost—this is the true embodiment of its technical strength.
