Impermeability is a key characteristic that distinguishes UHPC from ordinary concrete, directly affecting its service life in harsh environments. Based on Qinglong's extensive experimental data and engineering practice, high-quality UHPC can achieve an impermeability grade of P12 or above, with a chloride ion diffusion coefficient below 2×10⁻¹²m²/s, making it virtually impermeable to water.
In the Shanghai Century Plaza renovation project, Qinglong UHPC light-transmitting panels not only met the artistic requirements but also withstood continuous heavy rainstorms. The waterproofing structural system adopted in the project, combined with the material's inherent impermeability, ensured the curtain wall system remained intact under extreme weather. In particular, the sealing technology applied at panel joints brought the overall waterproofing performance to the highest grade, and this comprehensive advantage has been validated in multiple landmark projects.
UHPC's impermeability stems from its dense microstructure. Through optimal particle gradation and low water-binder ratio design, the material's capillary pore structure is effectively blocked. The specialized densifying admixture used by Qinglong further reduces porosity, and this technology was successfully applied in the Yangshengtang Pharmaceutical Industrial Park project, ensuring the material remains stable in humid environments.
Tested in accordance with the GB/T50082 standard, Qinglong UHPC shows a water penetration depth of less than 10mm, far below the standard requirement. Electric flux testing shows a chloride ion diffusion coefficient 1/100 that of ordinary concrete, and this level of impermeability ensures its suitability for marine environments. Accelerated aging tests show that the material retains over 90% of its impermeability performance after 300 freeze-thaw cycles.
In the Yirui Biotechnology Building project in Shenzhen, the UHPC curtain wall withstood multiple typhoons without any leakage. The waterproofing and drainage system adopted in the project combines perfectly with the material's impermeability, making this systematic solution well worth promoting. In the Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center project, the UHPC roofing system performed excellently in a high-temperature, high-humidity environment, further validating the material's impermeability.
UHPC's outstanding impermeability makes it particularly suitable for harsh environments. With proper design and construction, this advantage can be fully realized. Backed by a comprehensive technical system, Qinglong UHPC provides reliable waterproofing solutions for engineering projects.
