Pre-factory performance testing of UHPC components is the last line of defense for quality assurance, covering all dimensions including mechanical properties, durability, dimensional accuracy, and appearance quality, ensuring that every product meets design requirements and industry standards. Qinglong, a national high-tech enterprise with a comprehensive testing system, has established a full-process testing regime of "raw materials - process - finished products," achieving a 100% factory inspection pass rate and providing reliable quality assurance for projects.
Mechanical property testing is a core indicator that directly determines the structural safety of components. Qinglong's mandatory tests on UHPC components before factory release cover three indicators: 28-day compressive strength ≥120MPa (standard type ≥150MPa), flexural strength ≥18MPa (standard type ≥25MPa), and impact strength ≥3.0kJ/m², in accordance with the industry standard General Technical Conditions for Ultra-High Performance Concrete (UHPC) Non-Load-Bearing Components. Testing is conducted using automated compression testing machines and impact testing machines, with 3 specimens randomly selected from each batch and the average of the results taken; if a single group of specimens fails, sampling is doubled to ensure the data is authentic and reliable. In the Shanghai Astronomy Museum public art project, UHPC sculpture components achieved a compressive strength of 160MPa and a flexural strength of 28MPa, far exceeding design requirements and safeguarding the structural safety of the large-scale sculpture.
Durability testing ensures the long-term stable service of components and must be tailored to the service environment. Routine testing items include freeze-thaw resistance (strength loss ≤10% and mass loss ≤5% after 25 freeze-thaw cycles), impermeability (impermeability grade ≥P12), and carbonation resistance (carbonation depth within 5 years ≤3mm); projects in coastal areas additionally require salt spray corrosion resistance testing (strength loss ≤15% after 500 hours of salt spray testing). Qinglong is equipped with professional freeze-thaw testing machines, permeability testers, salt spray test chambers, and other equipment. In the Hainan Changying Universal 100 Fantasy Park project, UHPC components lost only 8% strength after 50 freeze-thaw cycles, and their salt spray corrosion resistance met the standard, satisfying the requirements of a tropical marine environment. As durability indicators involve long testing cycles, Qinglong adopts a "test first, produce later" approach, completing material durability verification in advance to ensure consistent performance of mass-produced components.
Dimensional accuracy testing ensures installation compatibility and covers three aspects: linear dimensions, geometric tolerances, and surface flatness. Linear dimension deviations: flat panel components ≤±3mm, complex-shaped components ≤±5mm; geometric tolerances: perpendicularity ≤2mm/m, flatness ≤2mm/m; surface flatness ≤±2mm/m. Qinglong conducts comprehensive inspections using laser rangefinders, total stations, flatness gauges, and other equipment; for double-curved and irregularly shaped components, 3D laser scanning technology is used for full-dimension comparison, with errors ≤±2mm. In the double-curved UHPC facade panel project at the Nanning New Media Center, the dimensional accuracy pass rate of thousands of unique components reached 100%, ensuring a continuous, smooth effect after installation. Components that fail dimensional accuracy will be ground and corrected or reworked until they meet requirements.
Appearance quality testing ensures the decorative effect, mainly inspecting surface defects and texture consistency. The surface must be free of cracks, hollow spots, sanding, and chipped corners, with bubble diameter ≤3mm and no more than 3 bubbles per square meter; decorative textures such as faux stone and faux wood must be uniform and consistent, with color difference ≤ΔE2 (CIE Lab standard). Qinglong combines visual inspection with colorimeter testing. In the Dongting Lake Museum GRC faux stone component project, the UHPC faux stone components achieved a texture fidelity of over 95%, with color difference controlled within the allowable range, and the decorative effect was highly recognized by both the designers and the owner.
Qinglong's factory inspection of UHPC components strictly follows industry standards and internal control specifications, and every batch of components comes with a test report detailing each performance indicator. For designers and owners, comprehensive factory testing is an important guarantee of product quality. Guided by the principle of "meticulousness and constant improvement," Qinglong integrates testing into the entire production process, ensuring that every UHPC component delivers excellent performance and a perfect decorative effect.
